These grants are for people with a disability, or older people, to allow them to make improvements to their homes. Take a look at the options below...

HOUSING ADAPTATION GRANT

up to €30,000

The grant can help you to make changes and adaptations to your home which we can carry out for you.

Build new wheelchair

accessible bedrooms and bathrooms.

Widening of doorways.

Installation of grab rails and support aids.

Accessible ramps up to entrance doorways.

20 Design templates.

THE MOBILITY AIDS GRANT SCHEME

up to €6,000

The Mobility Aids Grant Scheme provides grants for works designed to address mobility problems in the home.

The scheme is primarily for older people, but people with a disability can also apply for it.

We carry out the work covered by this scheme.

Installing level access showers.

New Accessible toilet and fittings.

Install New Hand Wash Basin.

Tiled floors and showers.

Grab rails and supports.

Dry lining and insulation.

HOUSING AID FOR OLDER PEOPLE SCHEME

up to €8,000

The Housing Aid for Older People Scheme is used to improve the condition of an older person’s home.

In general, it is aimed at people 66 years of age and older, who are living in poor housing conditions.

However, in cases of genuine hardship the local authority may assist people under age 66.

Replace or repair any leaking roofs

Replace fascia, soffit, gutters and down pipes

Replace or repair leaking flat roofs.

New double glazed windows and doors.

A housing adaptation grant is available where changes need to be made to a home to make it suitable for a person with a physical, sensory or intellectual disability or mental health difficulty to live in. The grant can help you to make changes and adaptations to your home which we can carry out for you.
